Went Osceola tonight and ran the Stryker.
I gutted my mufflers and I wired in the O2 mod. Otherwise my bike is stock.
My times ranged from 13.23 to 13.30. My mph was always high 96's.
I'm happy. I will stop modding when I run a 12.50...
Anybody else been to the track??

I was thinking the Stryker was good for a 13.3 1/4. It feels just a hair quicker than my wife's stock 2010 Mustang GT that runs 13.4-13.5s but slower than my 2010 Challenger SRT8 that runs high 12s.

I'm not sure if I'm going to take my Stryker to the track or not.

Did a poker run last weekend and it started at the pocono speedway. Got to do 4 laps on the track before begining the 60 mile poker run. No times but ran at 120 on the straights and 90 on the turns, was wicked on the banked turns. Boy does this bike run smooth at those speeds. Scary and fun at the same time and probably a once in a lifetime event for me. Go Stryker... 8)

How about a 0 to 60 time you guys?
One reason I am asking is because a guy on another forum is saying he has clocked his V Star 1300 at just over 3 sec 0 to 60 and I think he said 13.1 in the 1/4. Would like some feed back guys.

What is your best technique for launching the bike? about what rpm and how hard off the clutch?
The best method for me is about 3-3500rpm's, slip clutch but let the lever out completely within 50' or less. I noticed the stock clutch is, well, stock. Need's a barnett if ur gonna do that much. I tried dumping the clutch but the bike did a short tire spin, hop and scoot, then slight bog..

I would like to see the other guy run a 13.1 et. I consider myself experienced at the strip and I feel like I left nothing on the table when I ran a 13.23. But Osceola seems to be 2 tenths slower than other tracks like Martin, MI.

8sec-z, if you didn't catch what I said the guy that claiming 13.1 was on an 2007 1300 V Star not a Stryker. And I read some where that the Stryker has a larger cam and air box and different fuel mapping than the 1300 v star and definitely has different exhaust. Do you know if that's true?

I'm sure he understood Toby, Thats why he was saying he would like to see it. Yes- the Stryker does have different cam and Fuel mapping and exhaust. Must have been pretty perfect conditions for the Vstar to pull that off.

Thanks 11.
One guy said he mounted a stop watch on his handle bar and clocked himself at 3.33 sec 0-60 on the v star. All I can say is WOW that's REALLY Interesting.

Interesting stuff here. I don't know about drag striptimes but this bike has a **** of a second gear. Looks like it's good for 70+ mph.
I've asked before if anyone has installed a tach. How about it 8sec-z, do you have one and if so what kind, how's it mounted and what was the cost? I wear ear plug because of the wind noise and my advanced age so a tach would definitely help me keep the engine in the comfort zone.

doesn't that v-star 1300 go about 100 lbs heavier than the Stryker?
Yes StrykerShane, the v star is about 25 pounds more. 668 and the tourer 712 pounds. to ours at 646. And I'm not sure but I think it's got the same gear ratio and belt and teeth. And the rear tire is a 170/70/16 stock. I don't know what how that compares to the diameter of ours?

VStar 1300 and Old No7 Stryker have 30 teeth front 70 teeth rear. Stock Stryker is 31 teeth front and 70 rear. All Star bikes have 70 rear except Raider which has 66 teeth rear. VStar 1300 rear tire is .60" larger circumference than Stryker. So with the Vstar less HP and larger rear tire is explanation why they use a 30 tooth front pulley.

I understood it was the cruiser. I'd like to line up against him and see his techniques if it was a naturally aspirated vstar..

I was guessing my rpm via my ear. No tach. I feel like I have a grasp on where the motor is.

13.23 was my best time. I feel like there wasn't much left in the bike. Another buddy videotaped it

Ok, what I found out today with 30 tooth front Pulley is that at 60 mph, the tach reads 2400 RPM in 5th gear. Bike Idles 900 RPM in neutral. I have the 250 Avon on 8" PM rear wheel and my speedometer matches my sons FZ6R at 60 MPH also. So at least I have gotten the bike final drive ratio back to near stock. Don't have a GPS to check to see how correct our Speedometers are though.

I can vouch that the stryker is definatley faster than the v-star 1300. I raced a buddy of mine...My stryker against his vstar 1300 and his smack talking cousin with his supped up HD street glide(love harley--love the stryker more). I wiped the floor with them both. His cousin couldn't believe that mine was a 1300 as well because he can smoke the vstar. ;D ;D ;D Put smile on me face---no more smack talkin after that.... :-X Thats why the BACK of my helmet says---{NUFF SAID} [email protected]#K yeah it's a Yamaha!!!! 8)
