reading all this about the tuner issues - what happened to those who put the transistor inline on the O2 sensor ? good ,bad, indifferent ?
I did the resistor mod. It simply smoothes out the jerks n bucks our bikes have at low rpm.
It is not supposed to be a tuner nor replace a tuner. It's no magical fix. I feel it is worth the time for the mod. I have a ton of extra resistors. If anyone wants one, pm me and I will give you one for free as long as you send me a SASE.

Considering the tuners cannot effect the fuel maps for the range that is effected by the RESISTOR TRICK, it won't interfere with a tuner.

Now, as I understand it, I think Cobra has a plug-in unit that is basically the same thing as the resistor trick except it costs about $50 rather than the $0.03 a resistor costs.

Here's a link to the thread I created on here outlining what needs done. http://www.yamahastarstryker.com/index.php/topic,676.msg8850.html

This looks interesting but it is in Greece and I have not had good luck ordering anything from Ebay that was overseas.
I asked him a question if the O2 sensor eliminator would work on the Stryker. We'll see.
This is what I got back from the seller.
I haven't tested it on this model but if it shares the same eliminator with the midnight star then it will fit. You can send me a photo of the connector of the oxygen sensor and I will tell you if it fits. My email address is [email protected]
Anyone have a picture of the stock O2 sensor? Post it here or e-mail it to me and I'll pass it along to him. Or just e-mail him.

Try your local parts store. They may have replacement plastic plugs and the metal bits that go on the end of the wires. Then just cut some wires to the length you need and make your own extension harness.

Its an option.

I did something similar on my old HID kit. I just did a search for H7 connectors and a bunch of stuff came up.
