I saw one couple has his and her Strykers. My wife rides a 950 V Star She needs a bit more riding miles before she gets a Stryker.

Yeah Toby got me a really pretty tommy blue 950 V-Star ... it is a sweet bike, a little intimidating on these mountain roads. I learned the hard way not to try to corner it like my virago, with the low floorboards it just does not do that well LOL But I survived, AND I fixed my own bike and learned a valuable lesson too!

It has been a learning experience for sure. It is 125 lbs heavier then my virago, it is lower to the ground, has those floor boards instead of pegs, and a heal/toe kick shifter thing... I also plan on sending the seat someplace to get it made more comfortable. I am used to an australian saddle LOL I don't like yamaha's attempt at a suspended seat system, it just isn't done right. I hope to get the seat modded so that it is deeper and has more of a 'cantle' like my saddle does :) other then that, I could drive the 950 all day, and one of my issues about learning to ride was nerve damage in my right wrist from being thrown by my horse... it made extended use of the throttle on my virago difficult (hand went numb) but the 950 controls are very responsive and much easier on me for prolonged riding. All in all it is a sweet sweet ride and I am very happy with it.

RAIDERS!!
Let me get this strait, wife rides the Raider and you ride the Stryker , Looks like you have the V&h big R swept and modded intake and probably fuel mapped of some kind on the Stryker which gives it maybe 15 more hp. Which one is faster? And correct me if I'm mistaken on anything.

no, Deja is the wife and one helluva a good friend to this site,

by the way, all my wife rides is the backseat of mine, I wish she would ride on her own but that would probably scare me too much, she has had 2 major back and neck surgeries and I thought her surgeon was going to have a coronary when I showed him pics from one of our 300+ mile rides. Eventually he said ya only go around once so have at it. He did tell her she can't play golf anymore though.

Ya I have two blown discs in my neck and a bone spir poking my spinal cord that the docs say need operation and they said I need physical therapy that's why I bought two new bikes. And yes it's scarey when my wife is behind me on her bike but not so bad when I keep her in front.

ya that's right and I'm always good except today she said I was bad cuz I went for a ride in the snow to test my new gloves and laid her down. Check out my post," New gloves test ride on snow and icy roads = disaster".

I enjoy both, I really enjoy riding my v-star but nothing compares to cuddling up on the passenger seat of that stryker with toby at the helm... and boy can he throw that bike around these corners on these goat tracks we call roads up here... such a good bike with an excellent pilot going around these twisties... He really is my Hero!
