Located just behind the passenger foot pegs there is this piece of steel. What is it used for? Intended for? (see attached file)

Yey,, the cup holder is optional though It mounts a handle bar to the bracket and extends up to a height for the passenger to hang onto. Then the optional cup holder mounts to that. :MN said:I think it's a bracket for a aftermarket cup holder.
