I have been looking online via older posts, youtube videos, etc but figured I would make a post on here to get some opinions.. I love exhaust.. Every vehicle I have I had modified the exhaust.. I am looking to do the exhaust on the bike and I am leaning towards the Cobra Swept.. They flow nice with the bike and from what I have heard online sound good.. But just wanted to see what the loudest exhaust setup is that maintains a nice rumble.. Anything can be loud but you want it to sound good as well..

well the longer pipes like the swept will have a deep sound, shorter pipes like the v&h twins are going to be louder.. I have the twins and miko has the swept and I prefer mine and I think he prefers mine also.. if you want it even louder you can remove the baffles. but their pretty loud and still sound deep. I think the v&h big radius might be a good medium but haven't heard those in person

Making this a tough decision.. I really like the flow of the Cobra Swept.. The Big Radius is also nice because it has "design" to it.. Not a fan that it covers up some of the chrome on the bike lol.. I like the sound of the rush and have heard the dragsters but just not a fan of straight pipes.. I feel like the Stryker looks better with the look of the Swept or Big Radius style exhaust... But I do want a nice and loud rumble.. I sometimes ride with guys with Harleys and as it stands now I just get put to shame.. Once they start their bike you have no idea that mine is running lol.. Just trying to stay in the game..

If have to say the VnH are louder than the cobra drag. I think it's a bigger hole on the VnH. At least when it was parked side by side it was noticeable.

Freedom Performance Sharp Curve Radius pipes. Deep throaty and can loud. Gotta watch the leg on the pipe though.
Would they stick out any more than the Vance & Hines radius pipes?
I've got a set of the Freedom Performance Sharp Curves in black on order for mine. That's the one thing that concerned me with the way the pipes were laid out for the Stryker. The way they ran them for the V-Star 950 makes more sense in following the same stock path but you lose length to the rear exhaust and it may not be as balanced.
Hopefully I won't be scorching my leg next summer!

It is taking a little to get used to it. They have been cooler than I thought they would be. It was low 90's the first day I rode with them and not too bad. They look awesome on the stryker and sound as good as they look.

I do have the forward controls. I am running an EJK controller. A little popping on decel, but nothing extraordinary. It really opened the motor up. Bigger jump when rolling on the throttle in any gear. I installed a set of Kury Swingwings which helps move my right foot outand keep my calf off of thepipe. Its worse at a stop with my leg down.

just installed cobra swepts on my wife's stryker. we removed the baffles beforehand. its louder than my raider and made a big difference in acceleration as well as removed about 30 lbs of dead weight.
So the Stryker belongs to your wife? So is she also a member on the forum? We have a few active women on this forum, including myself, we can always use more. Get her on here, but I will warn you she might want to start modding if she gets into it. :thumb:

I need to get the forward controls. I just installed the Freedom Performance Black Ceramic pipes today. The spacers they supply for the foot controls is helpful but not totally the solution.
Pipes are definitely loud. Not much in the way of baffles in them. Just honeycomb welded to the outside wall of the pipes. I was a little disappointed, my rear heat shield came in damaged. It has some scratches on it from shipping. I'm thinking it's going to be a hassle to get something done about it. Seeing I had to deal with a reseller in Canada to get them.
Maybe he'll send me a new one. I'm going to try. If not, I'll have to look at having the rear cover recoated. I'll see how it out all plays out. Hopefully they'll do something for me.
