Like most of us here I bought the Stryker because it is the best looking bike out there and has the performance to make it the most fun of any bike I have ever ridden. It is not a long distance touring bike and my body is no longer a long distance body. It is not a sports bike, and sadly, I missed that phase of bike riding. For me, it has enough power to make it fun and handles good enough for as fast as I care to go. I do 100 mile rides between my houses with 40 % freeway and 60% 2 lane country roads and generally stop once or twice to stretch my legs and rest my butt. More than a 50 mile stretch at one time and my legs strart to cramp, my shoulders start to hurt and my bottom starts to go numb. I see the posts about the uncomfortable stock seat and really don't understand. The way I see it, the seat is fine but the bottom needs a change of position or a rest. I do not wish my ride to become an endurance contest nor do I need to become fatigued. To the younger riders here, please help me feel normal. Tell me that you, too, need to take breaks and that I am not alone or tell me to go take my arthuritus medicine and shut up. ;D

A pretty good analogy! I like to stop and stretch as well, plus it gives me an opportunity to visit places I just wouldn't consider if I were in a car.

As comfortable as I am I still need an ass break after about 60 miles, with the current setup I can do 100 or fill up to fill up but I don't really care too, I rode 210 miles today with the L&M seat, my ass is sore tonight

With the stock seat, I did two 260 mile runs in a day with just fill ups for breaks. My back was sore, but that was partly because it was 20* for most of the morning ride. No issues with sore butt at all.

With the Corbin seat, my butt can only take an hour or so. But my back feels better. Still, I'm trying to get my dealership to take this Corbin seat back and give me a Mustang.

At 37 years old and a completely stock bike (I did modify the valve stem caps...LOL) I can do about 50-60 miles without a stop. I have always done this, even with my last bike (1987 Honda Super Magna). Stopping, stretching, looking around and having a smoke is all part of the experience for me! If there is a coffee shop, I'll always stop there and if the lot is full of bikers I make sure to appear strong and unsore so everyone knows how tough I am. LOL!!!

Sorry buddy no can do. Road 866 miles in two days, only stop for gas so roughly every 100 to 130 miles. I do have the duel tour seat, forward controls, kury swing wings, and I set my luggage rack bag on the passenger seat to act as a back rest. Definitely not stock, that may be the route to look at for more comfort. I got home from that trip last night and I'm already itching for another full day of riding.

I have a Mustang seat which is way better than the stock one. When my wife rides on back we stop every 50-75 miles with no new pain issues. Solo I stop around 100 miles with no issues. I've been pretty hard on my body the last 50 years so the only time I don't feel pain is when I ride. ;D

Seats are so subjective. I always take a break after about 60 miles and for the most part feel fine with the stock seat. I tried a mustang seat a couple of weeks ago and could not go more than 30 miles before my rear was in pain. Needless to say, I sent that seat back to Mustang and I am back to using my stocker.

The Stryker is a **** good platform to turn the bike into whatever you want. It looks good, handles good, is relatively comfortable, and has plenty or power. It does alot of things really well, but specific needs can easily be addressed. I think the stock seat stinks, so I am getting mine modified.
