What kind of bike owner are you?

Unfortunately I don't have the skills to fabricate too much. Luckily I work at a shop, with a bunch of great guys who can build just about anything. I help where I can. That being said, I would have to categorize myself as fabricator. If there is something that isn't made, I will get it made, either by me, or a friend. Did the exhaust, tool bag mounts and custom headlight so far.

I Have no mechanical skills so I add accessories that have been already fabricated for the bike, I wish I had the time, I guess with time I may change to customizer when I decide on a theme but for now I think I'm done with adding stuff to mine. Maybe for the winter time I'll think about a paint job... 8)

I hear ya, but in the north east we have 6 months of wrenching weather (snow) and 6 months of riding weather.

True...but throttling through some twisties is the closest thing to carving up the snow. When it gets too cold to ride I dust off my skis

I like riding more than anything, but, if I had more money I would be modding a lot and if I had a lot of money I would have my own fab/mod/mechanic shop, but I can guarantee you that I would still ride as much as I could and I would ride all year because I would mod my bike with a tread on the rear and a ski on the front. Oh yaya.

In the past I have owned older bikes so I learned to repair them and enjoyed the "wrenching" almost as much as riding. Let me add that my wrenching had little to do with "moding". It was just in the interest of keeping the darn things running. Not so with the Stryker. It is new and doesn't require repair at this point, just routine maintenance. Sadly, technology has passed me and I probably won't do much in the way of repairs if/when they become necessary. So now I am just a "Rider" and enjoying every minute of it. 8)

Would love skills that let me fabricate parts, but I haven't even modded my bike yet! Looking at exhaust pipes, but frankly I'm not sure that's something I want to do myself. guess I don't trust myself with a wrench, but I like what ive seen in the forum. It's sort of empowering....
