Great prices at Phat Performance Parts. SS Customs also has great prices. Those are the two I've been using for cruiser parts so far.

I will show my dealer what I can get it for online with Amazon or such and ask them to meet the price.
Most of the time they get close enough to give them the business.
REMEMBER to support your dealer IF they deserve it.
Without them we suffer as owners.

When that doesn't work I punch in the part number into Amazon and usually get the best price out there and it's backed up by Amazon.
Safest, fastest way to order online.

I'm STILL waiting for orders I made from Zillion8 for mirrors, (2 + weeks) and Scoot mods (2 weeks) that I didn't order thru Amazon. Lesson learned.

Looking at the Zillion8 page for deliveries, seems like if you choose standard ground it takes forever. They have listed 6-9 days Air and 30-50 days on the ground for Canada for my location.
6-17 for express to the US listed there or 25-40 days on the ground.
These are coming from overseas, from their website:
Delivery Process and Carriers

  • Next working day dispatch: Product will pack safely and send to Hong Kong International Post Office.
  • Hong Kong International Post Office will sort parcel and send it to your country.
  • After parcel arrived your country, parcel will handled by local carrier.
  • Here is a list of example local carriers will handle your parcel.
Scootworks shouldn't take that long though?

Got the mirrors today after all!
Dang they look sweet, good quality too, all steel and chromed, no plastic.
I got a tracking number from Scoot mods and it says I should get the fwd controls Tues.

Normally, I get tracking info within a day of ordering, this time I got nothing for a long time and it just made me a little leery.

I used the stock nut off the stock mirrors on the new mirrors, they are nicer looking.
That's a good idea, I'll definitely do that. I just got a "order in dispatch process" notification. I noticed you mentioned it took you a while to get your order?

I paid the extra $3 for "Faster shipping and it took about 2 1/2 weeks, not too bad.
I'm just impatient and I didn't get a order confirmation which kinda freaked me out!
Sound's like you already go that.
You'll be happy with the mirrors, just remember when you're taking off the original ones that the right mirror, (Throttle side) is L/H thread so to take it of you turn it clockwise as though you're tightening it.:thumb:

SOOoooo...

Less than a year later and I have F*****d around with those mirrors for the last time.
No matter WHAT you do you will not get the studs, or adapters to fully lock into the mirror stem and the stem will spin on the stud.

I tried red loctite, Blue loctite, HEII I even tried GREEN loctite and that stuff is made to seat Nic-o-sil cylinders in place in engine blocks, then I tried Gorilla Glue... I guess if I was going to keep the mirrors I would try drilling through the stem and the stud and tapping a loc pin into it to keep these pieces of crap from loosening up.

Instead I went back to the stock mirrors for now.
I really like the look of mirrors with turn signals built in to them.
Anyone have any suggestions what works best or where to shop for them?

For most of my parts I used Cobra; Pipes and Air Intake with Tuner, Radiator Cover, Back rest with tubed Rack.
Love my Hardstreet 6ers hard bags, they fit the bike perfect.
Added the Pacific Coast Star's All-N-One Rear Light
Bonus- Power port in the left side panel and Lizard lights

That is one reason I have never jacked with the stock mirrors. Besides the fact that they don't look that bad, they actually work. Most of the aftermarket "blade" style and others I have seen look like cheap crap, and also don't function well. I don't mind spending money to improve my bike, but until something worthwhile comes along, I'm just going to stick with my stock mirrors.
