Door county is over rated. Not much to see unless your into crafts and yard things lol. Traffic is busy also with all the older people gocking at everything. Scenary is kinda nice.

Yeah I was thinking more along the lines of just riding the coast. Go up one side, and come back down the other... Not really stopping anywhere except food, gas, and bathrooms.

Lots of indians but there cows are in the casinos LOL Texas is a great state to ride in. I have a sister that lives in Austin. I've ridden that trip from Green Bay to Austin about 4 times on the bike. Hill country is the best. Nothing but flat ground out this way.

Looks like it's been a while since this thread was started. I'm in Wausau.
Door County isn't a bad ride. We riding the Bay side up, the out to Washinton Island. Make sure you stop at Nelsons Pub and ask about the Bitter's Club. Just do it for the fun of it... Then back down the Lake side. Yes, it's a tourist thing, but we expected that so it wasn't a big deal. Plus the view was something, and there was a few neat places to stop to eat and drink.

As for the Lake Michigan Trip, we rode from Wausau to Manitowoc and took the SS Badger across to Ludington. From there we rode north along the lake shore, across the Mackinac Bridge, across the UP, then back home again. Of cousre, staying a few nights long the way.

We've also road Bayfield County area... which was somehting different too.

We plan on doing a south west tour sometime soon.

We're actually doing the Door County thing next weekend again.

I'll be riding up to Wisconsin july 4th weekend! Staying in a hotel up by a lake (damnit what is the popular tourist lake up there?)

MMR is July 18-21 this year. I wish I could go, but I have a wedding to save for. I would love to do another ride around the south west of the state though. By far the best riding Wisconsin has to offer.
