I'm looking to my my controls forward, but want to get the best. Please let me know what you have used, and if possible why it's the best of the options out there:

1. Quality
2. Ease of Install
3. Functionality
4. Price

I put in price, becuase I'm cheap, but don'ty skimp on quality if the $$$ are justified.

I want to get a set that are a solid build, look factory (or super cool) and are going to be easy to install. The idea of re-running brake lines is a no-go unless it absoutely can't be avoided.

Thanks for you help!

Strickly a personal opinion... but SCOOTMODS forward controls are AWESOME!!!

3 wrenches 17mm, 12mm, 10mm
needlenose pliers

30 minutes for the brake side (only because the instruction say to do this side 1st) mostly reading the instructions... actual wrench time was 10min.

10 minutes shifter side.

Word of caution.... doing this mod will cause you to ride more, longer, faster.... do not attempt if married.. or if married ensure you have signed agreement stating she don't mind you riding more!!!

I have the PCS forward controls on my bike. Read about it here: http://www.yamahastarstryker.com/index.php/topic,1149.0.html Personally, I have never seen the Scootmods in person, so I can't compare the two side by side. But after reading peoples reviews and seeing some pictures, I would opt for the Scootmods, mostly because you don't need to open the brake system.

Over all it is up to you, they both seem like great kits.

Great info so far, thanks everyone!

I'm tired of my old knees hurting when I get off the bike!

What about floor boards with them?

Are the extensions only good for taller riders? I am only about 5' 7" but would like to be able to stretch out some more if it won't put me in a strained position riding with them. Already got my PCS links i will be putting on tomorrow and hopefully ordering my seat next Friday.

I'm 5'7" with the scootmods forward controls, I can reach the pegs with no issues and can even rest my ankles on them while coasting . The ride now is a lot more comfortable, my knees don't bother me anymore during long rides.
