I realize this may not be the longest ride ever on this forum... And, I just finished MY longest ride. Went from Denver to Phoenix, from Phoenix to Moab, and from Moab back to Denver. 1,818 total miles, and man, am I sore.

Stock seat fits some of us just fine, does me any way. We did over 3,000 miles in 10 days last summer, almost all mountain riding too. Only between 275 to 400 miles a day, I think one stretch we did 450 miles, but in the saddle 8 to 10+ hrs at a time though.

That's over five days, but one of those days was spent with family in Phoenix, so I guess it can't really be counted. My longest stretch was about 410 miles, but as you said, that was about 10-ish hours a day.

Ya anything more your not enjoying the ride IMO. Then we also had to make camp before dark and in some places we didn't crawl out of the tent till 11:00 am because temps were near freezing.
