I did 4 1/2" holes in the exhaust at 12,3,6,9. Ran that for about 2 months, love it but wanted more. then 2 days ago, i drilled the center baffle plate out with the 1inch hole saw bit. Now when i left off the throttle, when im reving in low RPMS it makes a whistle note. has anyone else experienced this after drilling out the center?

well i removed the muffler and made sure i got out any loose metal frags and that wasnt it...then i tried redrilling the 1inch hole to the point that it looks good and smooth...but its still doing it...i dont know...its not so much a whistling sound but more of a churping....and its annoying, as far as i can imagine i only have two options to fix my issue besides buying a new system, is to use a dremel type tool attachment and try to smooth it out a little more or add more 1/2 holes (from 4 to 8) what you think

Sounds like you may have a metal on metal "scratching". Did one of the baffles come loose? maybe a weld broke while you were drilling. Stick a small rod in there and put some pressure on different areas to see if it stops "chirping"

Well I tried everything that I could think of and your probably right on the broken weld causing the issue. So i pulled the trigger on Cobra swept pipes from denniskirk. Should be here and installed by Wednesday.
