Starting the teardown of my bike tonight - wife and kids are out of town until Monday, so it's on for the next few days to get as much done as I can. Will post pics in progress.

I'll post a couple pics before I turn in for the night - mostly cosmetic stuff like a full paint job, and a few simple mods like the tail assembly cleanup and new grips.

Yup, last night was pretty much just disassembly - tonight will be alot of sanding, rough mods and prep work. Saturday and Sunday will be alot more fun when I get to painting and re-assembly

Can't wait to see the matte finish. Thats normally what I would be doing. I'm, pretty boring when it comes to colors on my vehicles but I think I will actually do something different. That is when I get to that part.

Me too - hope it looks good when I'm done. I'm not going for a dead matte - trying to match the sheen of the powder coat frame. I'll post pics of where I'm at by the end of the day.

So here's a bit of a teaser - the first pic shows all the parts that I'm putting a graphic on sprayed a dark silver. Second pick shows the graphic that I laser cut and then applied to the front fender. Third shows the second color sprayed and the stencil removed. Still have to topcoat, but that'll be late tonight.

So here it is - new paint, grips (and turn signals), mod front fender and mod rear tail assembly. I tried to match the paint to the powder coat frame, and I'm very happy with how it turned out.

I know - but I do like that with those grips I could get rid of the turn signals up front and clean up the forks
