Winter Riding Gloves

Here in NC - It's starting to get into the 40's at night. I generally leave for work on a 45 minute commute around 6am. I have a fully insulated riding suit, full face helmet and head/face protector under the helmet. This with the riding boots makes riding in anything about freezing bearable - EXCEPT for the gloves I have.

Any suggestions/real world experience with cold weather riding gloves? I would love to go heated but not in the cards this year. Suggestions/recommendations, etc are welcome? And while we are at it - what about rain suits? Anybody have anything they like and would recommend????

what riding suit do you have? I've been thinking about getting some heated gear myself.
Have a First Gear HyperTex - non heated - works well till about 40 and then it gets a little uncomfortable but doable - Biggest issue is my hands at this point. Can't spring for anything heated yet but am interested if anyone has heated equip as to what they have - cost - how much drain does it put on the bike, etc.....
