I say cut it off! Then tell us if you have issues. 
I'd like to come up with something else also, like Fujims did to help clean it up. Someone else made an oval plate for an insert so it didnt look like a piece of wire bent around.

My question for you is: why do you personally find it irritating?
Keep it. the only reason you probably noticed it was because you were sitting and staring at your bike seeing what you could mod. It does look a bit out of place, but like the majority says, it serves its purpose and would likely ruin a nice boot if you do.

I agree keeping the hot parts and shinny parts away form damage and vise versa the only thing is the wire looks like a cheap after thought and a more custom piece like a solid plate or horizontal nub on the foot perg would have possible solved this issue.

That's what I was going to say. My boot is scratching it up. Then again, after I install those Scootmod peg extenders, won't have to worry about that anymore.Mikey76 said:
