I took the chrome head covers off on one side and left the other side on for comparison. Honey likes the chrome better. ;D.....................opinions requested.

I'm glad someone finally removed those and posted pictures, as I was curious to what it looked like with them removed. I'm still on the fence about which one looks better, but I think I would like them off if the shiny area where the bolt holes were the same color as the rest of the jug.

And yes, it is a tough decision.
Took off the belt guards too. I kinda like the "naked" look

On a serious note, though I am in the same boat as you are... black ro chrome... I like the chrome becuase it give the bike a little style, and I like the black, because it just give it that tough look...lol..

decisions suck! Good luck with yours..

I'm with Urban, both ways look good.

Also, i've seen a post on here somewhere stating the paint colors some have use (types of black)
wondering if anyone's tryed Satin Black.. if this would be a close match to the plastic's on the bike.??

It's used sometimes on the trim and wiper arms of Vehicles during a paint job.

I tried Satin black, it came out more of a gloss finish than a satin. The flat black matches the factory black stuff a lot better.
Yep, I have to agree with cdirth on that one. I painted something with satin and didn't like it. I ended up sanding is again and going with the flat.
