Installed the Bad Boy air horn this weekend. Picked a spot I haven't seen used yet and am very happy with it. Used existing screws above radiator and fabricated a small bracket with 1" aluminum stock. Bracket is approximately 5 1/2" long and 1/2" high. Note the off-center hole in bracket for mounting screw of horn which is itself off-center. Seemed to be a bit low and was worried that a hard front end 'bump' may cause the forks to compress enough that the horn may hit the fender therefore used a flat bracket to raise the height another 1 1/2". The completed set-up can be seen in the last pic. Personally feel that it looks great in this location.

Putting an air horn on ANY of my motorcycles is the first thing I do to any bike I have. I wouldn't even let my wife take her bike out on the road until I got one installed. I'm not a real big supporter of "loud pipes save lives." Our bikes should have a nice ballsy rumble to them, but there's no need to be completely loud and obnoxious. There's no guarantee that a driver is going to hear your "normal" pipes when you're just cruising along... Between traffic noise, their music playing, and/or being distracted by texts or phone calls, the drone of our pipes will get lost.

Now, when they decide to just start pulling into my lane and I lay on a 139db air horn? Yep. That gets their f'n attention, and quick. I've lost count how many times my air horn has saved my butt. I find factory horns to be fairly worthless, not to mention surprisingly intermittent.

i just ordered one for my wifes 950t, she still has the stock exhaust and is not sure if she wants to get louder exhaust. so for safety she will at least have a horn that will wake you up.

Got the "new model" on their site all black for 69.99$ 123 decibels.

I was not in to this type of horns but they really can save your life, to many @&;[email protected] on the road.

Wish we can find a device for the ones that get really clouse from behind.

Just carry some change and when they get to close throw it up in the air.
