Can't decide if I should get the short or the tall... and can't decide if I should get the quick release version either.

Detachable backrest

I have the tall detachable backrest. I like that its easy to put on, but cant get over the frankenstein bolts sticking out the fender. If you decide to get the detach add some thin rubber washers or the sound of the mounts vibrating will make you tighten every bolt on the back of the bike for almost two months.:tsk:

My girlfriend just commented tonight that the backrest fits great for her. I have the tall detachable. I like the easy way I can remove it when I don't need it.

I have the fixed. It's just 4 simple bolts and it's off. I just leave it on, and save the extra cash.

The quick release bolts are a little big. I have tool bag mounts I made that hide them well. Even when the back rest is off, looks good. I have the short quick release, and girlfriend feels very secure. But she has never tried the tall.
