So I was thinking when I started that it might sit too high off the wheel to look good? I think the radius needs to be carried over the side more, or just lopped off straight acros for a bob? Either way it needs to have the lip welded back under it so its not so sharp and thin. Ya cant say I didn't try?

I want to try something similar. Straight bobbed would look pretty good too or at least it would really show off that back tire. Props for having the guts to go ahead and hack up your stock fender though. I'm still too afraid to do it. Just curious what did you use to do it?

I drew it out and the ol-lady said that looks cool, cut it! So I figured if it dosn't look good she'll let me get a new fender, before she gets back on anyway!
Just used a cut-off wheel on a 4 1/2" grinder and was careful. Then sanded a little with a right angle die grinder.

SR71, ya still not sure I like it that high either. Left enough room to chop of simular to yours, maybe a little more bobbed due to the radius? How did you light yours up? I was thinking of runnig the stock turns but changing the bulbs to red and making them taillights?

I think that style of fender would look good if the fender was attached to the swingarm like the Harley rocker C. I thought about trying this myself. I changed my tail lights to Headwinds lights. They are controlled by a run turn brake controller and are mounted on the fender up close to the solo seat. These lights are halogens.
