Hello, i have been doing a lot of searching and reading. I am looking for feedback on yamaha's boulevard windshield 27D-F83J0-V0-00. I am 5' 10" and would like to know if anyone else my size has used this windshield, and does it really block any wind or do you get a lot of buffeting? I have looked at the batwings, but thats not really to my liking. Thanks for any info/feedback you can give.

I'm 5-9 and the windshield does great keeping the wind blast off my chest. Seems to hit me right about the base of the neck. Not much buffeting at all with freeway speeds.

I have had the Boulevard since the bike was new. I did put a 13" Rifle replacement shield on the stock brackets and love it. I am 6'1" tall and almost always wear a full face helmet. Never had buffeting. When I do wear a half helmet I don't ride outside of town though. You will get bugs in face.

Has anyone found a location that just sells the mounts? I have looked but feel like that option doesnt exist. Was hoping to find mounts and then buy a taller rifle.

I'm 5' 10" & the stock 10.5" boulevard windshield helped some but I made a 14.5" version of it & have been very happy with the results. Pretty easy to make from a sheet of polycarbonate.

No Yami does not offer the mounts alone. My Son made his own from the pattern of mine. Just wishes his were chrome for his Impact Blue Stryker.

That stinks that yamaha doesnt offer the mounts alone. Guess i will be trying something else. Too bad as i like the looks of the boulevard, just want something taller than the stock and i cant justify buying the shield just for the brackets.
