Don't get me wrong, I love that its a Yamaha, but the emblem had to go. A little scuffing, bondo and black velvet metallic paint did the trick.

Just to clairify, incase anyone wants to do this, I did spray a thick coat of highbuild primer, and sanded smooth before I painted the black and clear coats.

Ya I put on two coats of everything I paint. you probably dont need clear on this piece, but I had it so I used it.

You didn'g get any Fluid leak when taking that plate off? as I am not "intamite" with my bike just yet I dont know what that houses? Tranny?

Its just a dust cap. theres nothing behind it.

Looks really good. Been thinkin to do something similar. Just was working up the guts for it. I also found a chrome aftermarket replacement that I think will fit. Just dont have the $70 to experiment with right now.
