I have a 2011 yamaha stryker and im interested in these 2 bikes. I can only pick one though. Opinions, pro's, con's

I like the power that will come from that raider 1900cc motor which is in the stratoliner as well. I like the stratoliner for the bags and fairing with stereo.

What do you all think, Yes i'll be keeping my Stryker.

Can you give me a reason(s) why the strat over the raider? I havent sat or ridden either one so im just asking.

I know i can add a fairing and stereo and the bags that would interest me would be slim line hard bags for the raider

stratoliner. there really isn't any power difference between the stryker and the raider and they pretty much feel the same. I say strat because its more of a cruiser for longer rides and comfort. That is my next bike to add to my stable in the next year or two.

Does anyone have some pictures on modified or customized strats? A friend of mine found a picture of a black and orange one. Didn't know if it's a factory color or customized, anyone know?

I would vote Strat too. Niether bike is going to be that much faster that the Stryker, but I would imagine the Strat will be more comfortable for the long rides... Not to say that the Raider isn't comfortable.

When my hubby and I bought our bikes, he wanted a Raider but fell in love with a Roadliner S at the dealership. The roadliner is the Stratoliner without the bags and faring. He has since added bags and will probably add the faring next spring. Check out the stratoliner forum for pictures.

If your keeping the Stryker, then it,s a no brainer, the Strat! The Raider has the same type of seating position, so why have both? I was looking at a Strat Deluxe before the Stryker, but the wife didn't dig it. It's still at my local dealership, hmmm?

+1 is the new bike for 2 up or does your wife ride? If for 2 up then strat but if she's gonna ride I'd go with the raider

If you already have the Stryker than the stratoliner is the way to go. I'm surprised that nobody has piped up to the comment on the Stryker and raider being similar in power, I personally don't know (or care), but I'm sure the raider riders would feel differently. The strat is awesome for long distance rides.

I have a friend who bought one of the new strats as soon as it hit the dealer floor. He has had it for about three months and its falling apart. Not to mention there was a loud knock coming from inside the engine. Yamaha fixed everything but it left a bad taste in his mouth. He put both the strat and his fury up for sale. I guess his bike was built on a friday. lol. I haven't heard of anyone else having as much problems as he had. Nice looking bike though. But i'd still rather have a victory vision.

Being a raider owner, I say go strat. It is a nice cruiser with all you will need, the raider will need alot of add-ons to compare. Oh..and for the guys that think there isn't much difference between the power of a raider and a stryker pull up beside one at a stop light and say that, he'll wait for you to catch up at the next light. ;)

I've raced 2 different ones mulitple times and its neck and neck all the way to 80mph after that the raider slowly pulls away at 100 the raider is half a bike length ahead. the raider in my picture is my neighbors we race all the time him and myself are very surprised at the outcome that was when my bike and his was stock. Now that my bike has a gman, slipon exhaust, and airbox mod now i'm pulling away from him pretty steady and he only has cobra dragster pipes. My other buddy who also has a raider with cobra pipes, air intake and autotuner we are neck and neck all the way to 80 then he's pulling away with the setup I have now.

I will say the power does feel different on a raider, but the power to weight ratio is a factor. Its a fine bike and at times I would like to build one up, the bikes do handle about the same, but no question there is a torgue difference that can be felt...interesting topic.

Just out of curiosity, what is the redline rpm on a stryker? It is about 5200 on the raider and if you don't shift quick enough and hit the rev limiter the race is going to be over pretty quick. It is hard to come back after the rpm drop. The best set up to have is a raider with a tach and the pulley and belt from a stratoliner, my buddy has this and that thing is a rocket. I know we are getting off topic, but it's fun chatting with you guys.

not exactly sure what the rev limiter is set at on the stryker. My stryker does rev out alittle more before the raider hits the rev limiter. But no rev limiter was hit we have swapped bikes for a race cause he was blamming it on me being a better rider lol even though he's been riding twice as long, we still had the same outcome. The raider does have more torque the styrker just winds out alot faster. Not trying to start a pissing match its just what I have seen multiple times with my bike. My jaw dropped the first time we raced I didn't expect that one bit at all. We are still somewhat on topic cause he was thinking of getting a raider but if theres not alot of difference then there is no need. If someone wants to buy me a gopro camera I can make a video ;D
