Deja's right, didn't think of a grinder plus I don't have one
The toe pegs were pretty straightforward. Cut off the rubber coated peg where it meets the arm and then center and drill a 5/16 hole in the middle of what's left. With the toe peg gone, you're left with a circle about as big as a nickel. Maybe just a bit smaller. My pegs came with a hex head screw that needed to pass through the peg arm and screw into the peg itself. In other words, I didn't have to thread the hole I made or anything. The scariest part was cutting off the peg. There ain't no turning back then.
With the foot pegs, I was able to reuse the spring that came with the OEM pegs. It does a decent job with the new ones. I'll get a close up posted here soon for anyone that's interested.
On a side note, I got all of it from a place called SMT Machining. I have no complaints with them and the shipping was free since I referenced the free shipping they mention on eBay. When I called last week to order the pegs (have had the grips for a month or so), the woman on the phone seemed pretty apprehensive about the fact that their stuff is made for Victory / HD and I don't have one (she asked). She was worried about getting in trouble if I returned them later because they didn't fit or something. During her explaination of them not being made for Yamahas, she used the phrase "that's just how we roll with the metrics". It was at that point that I decided that they are definitely going on my bike because I imagined that it just might piss them off ;D
That's how Stryker rolls, what Stryker wants, Stryker gets.
